Workplace Noise

Workplace Noise

Exposure to elevated levels of noise within the workplace can lead to irreversible hearing damage, commonly known as noise induced hearing loss (NIHL), tinnitus, headaches, communication problems and stress.

AEC offer consultants who can provide a competent and independent assessment of noise levels within your workplace in accordance with the current Noise at Work Regulations (1989).

AEC can also work with your company, in order that you comply with the‘Control of Noise at Work Regulations (2005)’, which came into force in April 2006, following the implementation of the EU Physical Agents (Noise) Directive.

The new regulations will lower the noise levels to which employees can be exposed to before action needs to be taken, as well as placing more emphasis on employers to assess the risks to employees from elevated noise in the workplace.

On completion of the workplace noise assessment a full interpretive report will be produced with recommendations and advice on how to reduce employees exposure being made where necessary.
