AEC are an independent environmental consultancy, based in Manchester we provide highly trained technical staff to operate on projects for our clients to achieve their workplace safety and environmental goals.
We work along side our clients by advising the most appropriate course of action to succeed in conforming to the current legislation and future demands the environment will make on us all.
AEC was formed in October 1997 by Bob Harris who has 22 years + experience in the industry and Mandy Reid who has 10 years + experience in the industry.
The company philosophy and direction is to grow ‘organically’ without any unnecessary risk and this has shown a steady growth rate of staff from 1997 to the present day.

TECHNICAL FIELD SALES CONSULTANT – Reporting to Commercial Manager
Basic Salary £19,000 - £21,000 including OTE bonus - £23,000 k - £28,000 pa (uncapped)

 A new challenge for an energetic, highly motivated Technical Field Sales Consultant - selling health and safety services. 

AEC require a professional who is hungry for success, can meet and greet at all levels and thrives on achieving targets.  This is a full time role where you can make your own personal contribution to the business. 

 Selling health and safety services consisting of – due diligence & compliance audits, risk assessments, advisory services, occupiers liability and other health and safety services. 

 Full training will be given in this area.

 A proven track record of work experience of at least 5 years is essential.

LABORATORY ASSISTANT – Reporting to Laboratory Manager
Salary £13,000 - £14,000

 

The ideal candidate would need to be an excellent team worker ideally with a scientific / analytical grounding

 

The role is laboratory based, directly influencing the smooth running of the department.  Daily activities include the analysis of samples, creation and dispatch of certificates, assisting colleagues with queries and general laboratory tasks.

 

Key skills would need to be:

  • Previous British Occupation Hygiene Society qualification (would be an advantage), but candidate must be willing to train towards this qualification if successful.
  • A positive attitude towards learning new skills and commitment to the training programme
  • An eye for detail. The laboratory works to strict methodology and quality of analysis is essential
  • Basic computer literacy. The generation of certificates displaying the sample results is a requirement for the role. Applicants must have a basic understanding of Microsoft word and excel
Being able to work as part of a team. The laboratory has always worked as a team unit. The environment would benefit from a person who is reliable and willingly assists colleagues.
