UKATA Asbestos Awareness

Asbestos TrainingDuration: ½ or 1 day

Who should attend: Everyone who needs to develop a basic knowledge of asbestos types, legislation and health effects, its uses in buildings and what to do if working near materials containing asbestos.

Summary: All delegates are taught the basics of asbestos followed by specifically selected course modules to suit the industry needs of the audience. Courses include presentations, videos, additional materials and accompanying notes.

Modules include specialist learning for:

  • Maintenance staff / caretakers / facility managers
  • Scaffolders / roofers/ electricians - covering all trades
  • The Fire Service
  • Supervisors / managers

Qualification: Successful completion gives delegates a basic awareness of asbestos which is a key requirement outlined in current legislation. Delegates are presented with a Certificate of Attendance.

The asbestos awareness course can also be accredited by the RSPH (Royal Society for the Promotion of Health) level 2 certificate in asbestos. This is additional to the above UKATA accredited bespoke courses.
