P407 - Managing Asbestos in Premises, the Duty Holder Requirements

P407 Course

Duration: 3 days

Who should attend: Delegates who require the knowledge and skills to manage asbestos in premises and a basic knowledge of asbestos management plans, policies, procedures and their implementation. This is an appropriate qualification for Duty Holders. Candidates for this course will already hold either the P405 or alternatively the CCP (Asbestos).

Summary: Delegates will cover modules including asbestos types and health effects, legislation, use of Asbestos, Management of Asbestos in Premises & Controlling Work on the Fabric of the Building or Services.

The course includes a full range of powerpoint presentations, video footage, accompanying notes and additional course materials.

Qualification: The P407 proficiency course contains a short answer questions examination under the supervision of a BOHS invigilator. Successful completion of the course will give delegates the practical knowledge and skills to be able to supervise asbestos removal and treatment works. Successful delegates are presented with the BOHS proficiency certificate. The short answer questions exam can be undertaken separately from the main course if so desired. However, AEC strongly recommend that the candidates level of knowledge and experience be considered before they are booked onto these.
